Iraqi prisoners beg to stay with the Americans
Saw a report yesterday about how the Iraqi prisoners in the infamous Abu Ghraib prison were actually begging the American soldiers to let them leave with them, before the notorious prison was turned over to Iraqi authorities.
Why, you may ask, are the Iraqi prisoners begging to stay with the Americans - the same Americans who performed all those controversial deeds? Well, maybe it’s because the Iraqi guards tend to be much more brutal and de-humanizing in the treatment of their own people. We Americans are amateurs when it comes to the ill-treatment of prisoners.
Despite all the crap you read from the ACLU and all the other weak-kneed, communist- and dictator-loving liberals out there, the typical American soldier is far more humane in his treatment of prisoners than any typical Arab soldier out there.
So, will we hear the same international outcry about the current treatment of prisoners at Abu Ghraib? Of course not! The evil Americans aren’t in charge anymore!

You make some very valid points in your post but the fact that we are less evil is hardly anything to be proud of. I take exception to your condemnation of the ACLU. After all, their primary mission is to protect the civil liberties guaranteed in our Bill of Rights. I’m a blogger myself and am prone to vast unrealistic generalizations similar to your “dictator loving liberals” and associations of liberals with “communists” only I play for the other team. I am a liberal patriot. Feel free to visit my site, lets see if there is common ground and some opportunity for left/right dialogue. While I might have painted liberal with a broad brush, the fact that the ACLU was founded by communists is fairly well established. I agree, not all liberals are communistis, just as not all conservatives are fascists.
One thing about the ACLU… you either hate em or love… never seems to be any middle ground…
Personally, I think the World would be a better place without the ACLU…

The problem with the ACLU is not love or hate it’s that you can find them on both sides of too many issues. The ACLU are America haters like the media and whatever it takes to further corrupt the intent of the Bill of Rights they can be found behind. People respect honesty and I wish liberals would stop spinning every significant issue in this country and just admit that they are fighting for a communist America.

One year later. That has, in fact, come true. I haven’t heard about Abu Ghraib in a long time.
The ACLU, whether they will admit it or not, are communists, and not necessarily closet commies either. They’ve been working against this country since their foundation.
