Why I don’t watch CNN
I stopped watching CNN a long time ago. Basically, when other cable news outlets started popping up and I had other options, I moved away from their obvious liberal and “members of the world community” stance. Ted Turner’s recent remarks about not knowing who’s side he’s on in this war on terror have only cemented my feelings.
Over the years, I’ve talked to current and former service members who told me that the events they participated in, dating all the way back to the overthrow of Manuel Noriega, were not depicted on the CNN the way they saw it while they were actually there. In one case, a former soldier told me that during the days leading up to the invasion of Panama, he was in Panama City watching a CNN broadcast of a supposedly “live” pro-Noriega rally on the street immediately outside his apartment window. Of course, there was no rally. The footage they were showing, and calling it “live”, was from several weeks prior.
Hot Air has a whole run down of the recent CNN scandals and gives more ammunition as to why you shouldn’t be giving CNN your viewing time either.
