When can we take the gloves off?
Everyone, can we stop denying that Iran fully intends to wipe Israel off the face of the earth - and fully acknowledge that would be a bad thing?
Can we also acknowledge that Iran is led by a terrorist thug, who is thought by some to once helped hold 52 American citizens hostage for more than 400 days?
Can we also say that Iran fully intends to build a nuclear weapon, and that they really don’t need to build nuclear power-plants in a country up to its ears in oil?
Can we admit that Iran is fully engaged with Shias in Iraq, fomenting violence, funding terrorists, providing arms and technical advise?
Do we want to win this war, or do we want to capitulate to tyrants and terrorists? Do we want Iraq to be a failed state, and do we want Iran to have nuclear weapons and control the region? Do we want to keep making the Iraq War all about politics in the U.S.? If the answer to those three questions is “no”, then we need to stop this “bring the troops home” crap, take the gloves off, and start kicking some ass. It’s what the troops want!
On the other hand, if you answered “yes” to any of the three questions in the paragraph immediately above, then you are truly a sorry excuse for an American. I pity you.
(I look forward to the comments about that last statement.)
