Anti-war military frauds
An interesting phenomenon in the anti-war movement has been the use of military frauds - people who were never in the military, but claim to have been and are now voicing their disdain for the war; or people who were actually in the military, but tell lies about their experiences.
Michelle Malkin has done yeoman’s work in exposing or at least reporting on some of these low-lifes. Here’s some examples:
An anti-war smear artist
Jessie Macbeth - fake Ranger
Another fake anti-war soldier was Micah Wright. Micah was found out, and even eventually admitted to his lies.
Although I can’t dig up the source, I’ve also heard that there have been anti-war protestors who have deliberately enlisted in the military (I believe it was in the Navy - fewer opportunities to actually fight), and then used those “experiences” to “expose” how bad the war or the military is.
Why does the anti-war crowd do this? I’m guessing that they are so desperate to prove that members of the military are evil degenerates, and that the war is so horrible, that they are willing to lie about supposed atrocities to prove their point.
What’s the matter? Can’t find any real baby killers to exploit?
