When I first saw the trailer for the movie 300, all I could think was, “Wow, that movie looks kick ass!” I don’t see a lot of movies in the theater (finding a baby sitter is tough sometimes), but this one definitely is a “theater” movie.

The movie, officially, is…

Based on the epic graphic novel by Frank Miller, 300 is a ferocious retelling of the ancient Battle of Thermopylae in which King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) and 300 Spartans fought to the death against Xerxes and his massive Persian army. Facing insurmountable odds, their valor and sacrifice inspire all of Greece to unite.

Of course, when I heard the left was trying to make some sort of political point about the movie - comparing the invading Persian army to the modern-day American army, and the Persian King Xerxes to Pres. Bush, I knew I really had to see this movie.

I mean, after all, if it pisses off the left that much, it must be a pretty damn good flick.
