Iraq is the main effort in the global war on terrorism
For those of you who really believe that the main effort in the fight against terrorism is in Afghanistan, and not in Iraq; and, who believe that the insurgency is almost completely filled by local Iraqis and doesn’t really involve foreign fighters, I invite you to watch the following:

Please spare us the bull-shit bravado. You and the others are not keeping this country safe. Your dillusion is incredible to think anything less that total and immediate withdrawal will keep us from harm. truth: We will never be safe. We have lost this war. And give me a break with the “fighting for your freedom” crap. Freedom has its life in the hearts and actions of even the oppressed. Let it go GI Joe!
Hmm, right. That’s why we haven’t had another major attack in this country in 6 years. Not that they aren’t trying - but many have been stopped. Do you really believe total withdrawl will keep us from harm? Remember, we hadn’t invaded Afghanistan or Iraq before 9-11. These guys were pissed at us long before that - like during the Clinton administration.
Who has stopped them? You? Bush? Amazing. How proud you must be. Did they teach you history in the military? Did they teach you that the cradle of civilization has never fallen to idiotic attempts at outside rule. Democracy? You’ve got to be kidding me. But please, keep fighting…Its keeping me and my children safe.
Why yes, I have learned some military history. That region of the world has been conquered by Alexander the Great, the Roman Legions, the Persian Empire, and many others. So, yes, lots of outside empires have run rough-shod over the peoples of the Tigris-Euphrates region at one time or another over the centuries. But hey, nice try.
Ah yes, and Gengis Khan as well. All thriving today no less. What’s that? The’re not thriving? They spread themselves too thin militarily and were subjugated from within? Oh. Well, that will never hapen to this empire. Next time, read the history after the war, stupid.
You said that no one has ever been able to conquer the region, I proved you wrong. Now, you change the parameters of the argument to squirm out of acknowledging your failed point. Then, you break out the personal attack. Nice.
No, Pres. Bush and I have not personally stopped all of the terrorist attacks. But, hundreds of thousands of people like me in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, CIA, FBI, TSA, and on and on have done so. It’s been a combined effort that has worked pretty well so far and caught/killed/captured plenty of very bad people who want to kill Americans - people like you. I’ve met hundreds of patriotic people from dozens of government agencies that are working hard every day to keep sheeple like yourself alive, well, and spouting idiocies.
