"Honor" killings continue in a backwards Middle East
Originally, I was going to call this post something about the “religion of peace”. But after I did a little reading, I discovered that this disgusting, vile “honor” killing wasn’t perpetrated by Muslims, but by a religious group called the Yazidi in Kurdish northern Iraq. According to Wikipedia, that religion may be an early off-shoot of Islam.
As with all things involving the digital age, this brutal murder was caught on video. I’m not going to post it on this site, because it turns my stomach, but you can see it here if you are so inclined.
I continue to be struck by the fact that many of the people who inhabit the Middle East act like something out of the European Dark Ages. When will these people finally break out of their barbaric, backwards ways?
Many Muslims and Islamofascist apologists like to talk about the some of the savagery located in the Torah and the Bible. I won’t argue that those things don’t exist - because they do. The difference is, we in the West have pretty much dropped all those anachronistic habits. Many in the East seek to perpetuate barbarity.
