Iranians censoring female mannequins as Hijab crackdown continues

Via Iranian blogger Kamangir, here’s photos from the Iranian city of Qom, where the local authorities have “censored” women’s clothing store windows.
Is this about the stupidous thing you’ve ever seen? Are these people so afraid of the female form that they have to censor female mannequins?

Or perhaps, is it because deep in their hearts, they fear their own dark thoughts - thoughts that would cause them to actually become sexually excited by inanimate objects?

Of course, Iran has been on a hijab crackdown lately, as hot summer months have prompted women in Iran to do the unthinkable - show a little hair. Here’s a woman getting carted off because her hair was showing. The translation from Kamangir is:

Girl (screaming): I am not coming. Let me go. You man! Don’t touch me! Let me go! I don’t want to go! I don’t want to go!

Police (to people): Do not gather! Go!

The police are using female police officers to point out the bad hijab jobs. In spite of the possibility of arrest, some women aren’t putting up with this harrassment. Check out this video…

The whole thing is ridiculous, and soooooo 8th Century!

I was able to visit the Ah Shaw(sp) palace in Baghdad - one of Saddam's old haunts and now the home of MNC-I. These columns were huge.
This is a typical truck driven by private security. It's armored to some extent, and features a "gun bucket" in the back for a rear gunner's position.

This is a mural I saw on Victory Base Complex in Baghdad. Obviously, it's supposed to show the heroic former Iraqi army. There's a painted-over figure on the left. I'm guessing that was Saddam.
If you fly much in Iraq, then you've likely been on one of these - a C-17. They are much better to fly in than C-130s.
Here I am at the infamous Abu Ghraib. While in Baghdad, I ran into a friend of mine and was able to join one of his unit's convoys to this prison. This is, of course, prior to this facility being turned over to the Iraqis.
Believe it or not, it does rain in Iraq, as these poor soldiers found out when they tried to move this large forklift over some muddy ground.
Here's one of my soldiers manning the gunner's post. This was during one of our trips into Qayyarah.
This graffiti showed up on some walls in a local national parking lot not long before I left. I was told it is a memorial to locals who had worked for the USA and been killed.
A collection of rocket launchers. Hajji will often set these up, put a rocket in it, set up some sort of timer device, and then leave the area for the rocket to fire at a later time.
This gentleman was herding sheep around our FOB. The area we were in was predominantly farm and sheep-herding country.
Iraqi Police having their vehicles checked prior to entry to the base. We trusted the Iraqi Army in our area better than the police.
While in Iraq, you get a one-week MWR trip to Qatar. On one of the trips we were allowed to take, this Qatari was selling camel rides. I didn't bother with it.
That's me flying in a UH60 between bases.
This Qatari was selling opportunities to hold his falcon for $5. I didn't take him up on it.
