This is why I got into blogging…
Part of the reason I got into blogging was to help dispel the crap I was hearing from the left, who usually didn’t know what the hell they were talking about when it comes to the fighting in Iraq. Today, I found a classic case of that same leftist ignorance on the Huffington Post.
First, watch the video.
What we have here is a group of soldiers or marines who called in an air strike on a mosque. Since U.S. forces don’t blow up mosques without provocation, I am making the assumption that there were terrorists or insurgents inside the mosque, using it as a fighting position. That’s not unusual in Iraq.
When the mosque is blown up, presumably taking many insurgents with it, the soldiers cry out in joy and laughter. Why? Because the guys who were shooting at them have now been blown to hell. Frankly, I would have had a similar reaction.
Now, here’s some of the commentary of the Huffers after viewing the same video:
No doubt a lot of the troops like to shoot people and destroy things. They are the same guys that condon torture and think that might makes right. When they were younger they were bullies. Now they have a gun and the freedom to be the assholes they can be. Yet everyone is supposed to “support our troops”.
After four years isn’t it time to question why these people continue to sign up to fight in this ill-concieved and mismanaged war, and seriously consider if they do in fact deserve our support. Maybe we are continuing to support out and out a**holes.

Hmm, perhaps you’re the a**hole…
These are the same kind of losers that end up getting hired into law enforcement once the wars are over. They are unsophisticated and lacking in marketable skills but are considered well suited to “serve and protect”. They have inferiority complexes and look to gain respect by bullying others rather than through intelligent dialog and diplomacy.

Wow, you took a swipe at both the military and law enforcement in the same comment. Good job dirtbag!
Thanks for keeping this video in the information stream of consciousness. The first few times I watched that piece, I was horrified. That reaction continues to increase. The audio is definitely more telling than the video. What scares me is what has been done to those kids to make them so insensitive to the plight of fellow humans…and what they might feel free to destroy once they are returned to this country.

Man, what a friggin’ idiot. You’re horrified? I’m horrified that there’s people like you in this country who vote.

Typical anti-authority moonbat. Remove the police and military and they’ll be begging for your services.
