Amanda Marcotte, former blogger for the Edwards campaign, once again proves why she shouldn’t have been hired by a presidential campaign to do anything for them, let alone give her opinions on any subject. I won’t comment on John Edwards’ thinking when it came to hiring just a person - I’m not allowed to. Suffice it to say, the vetting process was apparantly not fully realized.

Marcotte’s latest screed includes a link to a Marxist video on YouTube. There’s a lot of words in the video and in her post that aren’t allowed to be said on public radio, and I had a debate with myself with whether or not to censor them here. Marcotte, of course, feels no need to censor anything - thus her removal from the Edwards campaign. I, like most conservative bloggers, try to take a slightly higher road in our posts. In the end, I decided to censor her somewhat. You can decide if you want to watch the video.

From the intellect that is Amanda, referring to the video:

Ignore the sexist origins of the word. “C**ts”=a**holes.

Break something. Set something on fire. Tonight you can find a way to resist. That asshole with a Bush bumper sticker? It can be removed.

Then, her update:

To all the people linking to this post, if you gave half as much a s**t about the lives of our troops as about the fate of a hypothetical bumper sticker in a very silly joke, then this war would already be over.

How hard your life must be if the very idea of finding that someone has vandalized a bumper sticker that proclaims your a**hole status would make you freak out. Having imagined a bumper sticker removal, perhaps you can imagine rebuying the “I’m An A**hole” bumper sticker.

Amanda, it’s not the bumper sticker removal that’s bothering me. It’s the declaration that we should be breaking and burning. That kind of statement makes you the c**t=a**hole. Funny how you don’t declare something a joke until some folks have obviously called you on the carpet about it.

Here’s the video in question. From a production standpoint, it’s actually pretty well done. Just ignore all the Marxist drivel.
