America’s poor - well-fed, underworked, and can’t keep it in their pants
From the conservative Heritage Foundation, their take on the recent Census Bureau’s poverty statistics:

- Most poor in America live better than most middle-class people throughout the rest of the world - and that includes diet, medical care, and creature comforts. Poor children in America are actually well-fed.
- Most poor children have parents that work, at best, part time. And, the majority are born out of wedlock. The welfare system rewards that behavior.
- Illegal immigrants make up at least 10% of the nation’s poor. We are actually importing poverty.

I’m struggling just to keep myself alive, then I see someone on welfare making less money than me (if they work at all) with a whole bunch of crap (PS3s, plasma TVs, you name it, some welfare leech probably has it somewhere) that you could only be getting if you had a job and saved some money or something.
Something’s wrong with this picture. That lazy ass is stealing my tax money and living off it, and I’m left to suffer with little to show for my work. WTF?
I’ve been pretty poor myself during a couple of times in my life (ramen noodles every night for dinner is fun), so I hear you brother. But, you never saw me on welfare or any other government aid.
I hear that; I’ve a box of ramen noodles right behind me. lol
Yeah, I’ve made it a point to not rely on any government aid. I’m fully able to take care of myself - I’d rather the government save the aid for someone who actually needs it (as in someone who really isn’t able to work).
