Teacher gets 15 days over teddy bear naming
If you’ve been living under a rock, then you might not have heard that a British teacher, teaching small children at a school in Sudan, was arrested for allowing a teddy bear to be named “Muhammed” in her classroom. In the Sudan, that is considered mocking the Islamic prophet - and you know damn well that’s not a good thing in a Muslim society.
I suppose it could have been worse. After all, there were calls in Sudan for her death. Per the Daily Mail:
Gillian Gibbons will be incarcerated at the squalid Omdurman women’s prison in Khartoum, which is massively overcrowded and infested with mosquitoes.
The 54-year-old from Liverpool was said to be “stunned” by the sentence imposed for insulting Islam - after which she will be deported from Sudan.
Gibbons is concerned that the verdict would turn people against Muslims. No matter, they are already doing plenty of harm to their world-wide public relations campaign.

I am stunned by this story - and more stunned by the women’s rights and human rights groups who have not bothered to take a position on this atrocity. what a shame.
Should you really be stunned about that, Flag Gazer? Neither group stands up for what’s right.
Probably not, but I hate being disappointed when people do not do the right thing… way too much of that.
