Shocker: Mahmoud blogs!
For a good time, check out crazy ass Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinjad’s blog (yes, I said blog) - here.
OK, not really a good time. It’s more like a slow, painful poke in the eye. There’s not nearly as much of the usual “Death to America” verbosity. It’s more of the “can’t we all just get along?” propaganda.
What’s really interesting is some of the comments left there. You’d think Mahmoud would delete the not so nice ones, but nope, they are there. Of course, there’s plenty of boot licking at the same time. Here’s some examples:
His excellency, it gives me immense pleasure to visit your site and post my comments this fabulous blog of a leader of free world not only islamic world. i have been following the remarkable efforts that you are pursuing in bringing the world together and making it a more safe place to live.Standing against the bullies has proved that you are a man of grit and character. - ali kahn
Bringing the world together? Yeah, constantly threatening Israel and its closest ally, sending agents and arms to kill Americans in Iraq - that will help bring peace to the world.
I find it strange that the leader of the Free World hides so much and is afraid of free speech. While others, like yourself, offer open discourse. I may not agree with you on some things but at least you are willing to hear differences. Peace be with you. - Bill Cumming (UK)
I’m guessing he’s referring to George Bush as the guy afraid of free speech. Funny, when I think of the authorities in Iran, I don’t really think of them as supporting free speech.
Of course, not all of the comments are complimentary.

On a slightly higher intellectual level…
I think you are an evil leader. Freedom and tolerance are necessities in this day and age, and the fact that your country kills intellectuals, journalists, minorities, etc. is horrible and deeply disturbing. People say America is so horrible, but you can live in whatever fashion you want to, and if the government does something you dont like then we can protest. Our government is great because it is of the people, for the people and by the people Change your ways. - Xochitl (US)

I’ve been keeping up with that blog for about a year now, watching the ass-kissing traitors in our country, Canada, and the UK kiss up to this guy.
